At The International School of Uganda, Kampala, rigorous academics and rich exposure to extra-curricular activities culminate in a future search process that is supportive, inspirational, and has the best interests of each ISU student at its core.
College Counselling
The ISU College Counseling Department provides university guidance and career counselling to students in grades 9-12. They help students realise their potential and take advantage of the range of opportunities available to them. Their essential goal is to find the future pathway that best matches each student's individual needs, personal disposition, academic profile, talents, interests, and ambitions.
With guidance and support, the ISU College Counseling Department actively engages with students and families as they learn about and navigate their future options. If college or university is on a student’s radar, they can help them navigate what can be a confusing and overwhelming process as university application requirements across the globe vary considerably.
Students will gain access to the tools needed to ask the right questions, obtain answers, make intelligent decisions, and grapple with dilemmas as they ultimately find the path that is the best fit.
Through various means that include web tools available through Cialfo, group meetings, individual conferences, and informational sessions, the ISU College Counselling Department hopes to provide clear and accurate information that allows students to take control of the process.
To make the college application and selection process easier, the ISU College Counselling Department offers a comprehensive, four-year college counselling programme for students. The college counselling process is both comprehensive and reflective and empowers students to take responsibility for their college research, completion of applications, meeting deadlines, and registering for tests.
