The purpose of the ISU Parent Community Association (PCA) is to create a supportive and sustainable relationship between all members of ISU to create a strong sense of community through open communication, planning events and creating new initiatives to bring our community together in support of student learning and growth.
Our Goal
To achieve a sense of belonging, our community creates a safe environment where we can interact, learn, grow and have fun together. We nurture and respect each individual’s voice and encourage everyone to take risks and be heard. Through community events, learning opportunities and service, we build the foundation for our ISU community. ISU is more than a place - it allows us to define and celebrate our diversity in Uganda and the world.
ISU PCA Aims
- Function as a forum of communication between school leadership and the parents sharing ideas and thinking creatively as the school continues to improve and develop.
- Serve as a resource of information, support, engagement and innovation for the ISU community including new families.
- Develop events and structures to build community and engage families in being a part of ISU.
- Build connections with partners in the wider Uganda community to support projects at ISU.
The International School of Uganda (ISU), Kampala, believes that a productive partnership between the school and families is an essential component of student success at all levels of their learning. The PCA help bring our community together in support of student learning through:
